John The Revelator 1970 Wild Blues
Genre: Blues
Rate: 320 kbps CBR / 44100
Time: 00:57:19
Size: 131,14 MB
Album Notes:
After more than 32 years "Wild Blues" has finally been released on CD (the record becoming a most wanted collector's item in the process). The complete Decca sessions are included, so the "lost" single and the only outtake from the "Wild Blues" sessions, a number simply called "Yeah" can be heard for the first time. Nobody knows why the track was left out in the first place, but it might have something to do with avoiding inner groove distortion which occurs when too much music is pressed on a record.
Apart from the Decca sessions, there are some demo-recordings of memorable and vintage JOHN THE REVELATOR tracks. Great that Hans van Vuuren made the effort to make this historical JOHN THE REVELATDR stuff available to the present day blues folks. Today, the band is still gigging around the country, "Worried Dreams" and "Talk to me Baby" are still live favorites, and the bluesfeel is stronger than ever!
