Bobby Bradford 1999 No Saints Walkin'
Genre: Blues
Rate: 320 kbps CBR / 44100
Time: 00:55:41
Size: 127,30 MB
Here’s some straight up gut bucket blues with a little Memphis swagger, a modest but winning effort.
Featuring Nashville Legends and the last recorded work of The Amazing Rhythm Aces drummer/founding member, Butch McDade.
Some say a musician may be judged by the company he keeps - that puts Bobby in some pretty tall grass for his musical collaborators include such extraordinary players as Jack Pearson, Reese Wynans, Jeff "Stick" Davis and the late Butch McDade from The Amazing Rhythm Aces, The Bluebloods' Mike Henderson, Glen Worf and Kenny Greenberg, Gregg Wetzel, Rock Williams and longtime Bradford harp-blower Paco Shipp.
Together, Bobby and these superb craftsmen forge a terrific contemporary homage to the blues, complete with stinging guitars, surging organ, wailing sax, even a full horn section on some selections.
To these ears, No Saints Walking is a beautifully and lovingly made modern blues record with a truly tasty retro tone. Get it and start grooving immediately! (John Lomax III)
