Shunsuke "Shun" Kikuta was born in Utsunomiya-city, a Tokyo suburb in 1966. In 1986, at the age 19, Shun moved to Boston and enrolled at the Berklee college of music which is one of the most well known Jazz-Popular music schools in this country. A week after graduating from Berklee in 1990, he moved to Chicago to play the Blues. Since Shun came to Chicago he found work with the blues legends such as Louis Myers, Otis Rush, Son Seals, Big Time Sarah, Johnny Little John and J. W. Williams.

Since November 2000, Shun has been working with The Queen Of The Blues, Koko Taylor as a permanent member of her Band, Blues Machine. (http://www.amazon.com)
