Album Notes

Following the success of their 1999 CD "Tying One On ... For The People", the Breeze Kings have, at long last, given real blues fans another taste of the good stuff: "You Got To Bring Some To Get Some"

Where their first CD showed us where the band was coming from, this new release shows us where the Breeze Kings are going. 9 original tunes highlight the CD and showcase the band's songwriting skills. These guys write as good as they play. But the best thing about the Breeze Kings is the sound. Each track reveals another layer of the band's talent, taste, and teamwork. The focus is on the song, the lyric, the tone, and the groove and not any individual instrument. The result is a blues CD that you can listen to over and over again.

Are you tired and/or disgusted with the "fluff" and "circus" music that is being sold as blues these days? Mediocre musicians with too many gimmicks playing lots of songs that sound the same. If that bothers you, then this band is the saving grace you've been searching for.

The Breeze Kings are making waves in Atlanta and all over the eastern USA because they have something special. Call it dedication, charisma, passion, on-stage chemistry ... whatever it is, this classic blues combo is one of Atlanta's most popular and sought after bands.
The Breeze Kings formed in October 1997. Today they are performing over 200 shows per year all over the east coast and have made several tours of Europe. Spotlighting complex guitar parts, explosive harmonica, and rock steady rhythms, their exciting and authentic blend of Chicago blues, Delta blues, and other regional styles has caught the attention of blues fans everywhere. Their energy has won over many new blues fans while their unwavering dedication to the time honored blues traditions has earned them the respect of many blues purists. This is a blues band - no question.

It's no wonder the Breeze Kings have won Creative Loafing's Best Blues Band in Atlanta award six times (1999, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006).
