Album Notes
The power and sound of two Hammond B3s. Seven of Canada and North America's premiere players came together over three days to play with and against each other in an old fashioned 'cutting' session. Doug Riley (Dr. Music, Ray Charles, Bob Seger) Bill Payne (Little Feat) Michael Fonfara (Rhinoceros, Lou Reed, The Lincolns), Denis Keldie (The Extras, the Lincolns), Rob Gusevs (Kevin Breit's The Sister's Euclid), Richard Bell (The Band, The Grease Ball Boogie Band) and producer Lance Anderson (Anderson/Sloski, Oscar Peterson Multimedia CD ROM.)
All present for each sessions, ready to be called on, to spontaneously 'go out and give it a try.' A soul classic here, a rock standard next, with a few originals thrown in. Back to back organs and a dream rhythm section, featuring Richie Hayward (Little feat) on drums and Colin Linden (guitar) and Dennis Pendrith (Bruce Cockburn, David Wilcox) on bass. Turn on the recorders and capture the drama.
This CD has become the essential CD in a Hammond organ fan's library. Keyboard magazine's Mark Vail raved about it and said, "This is one hot recording".
