”With the growth of the blues came the spread of the phenomenan known as the juke joint, a house or cafe where people gathered for music and dancing. In the juke joints younger blues singers learned from older ones, borrowed techniques here, a song there, and created new styles. Juke joints became the showcases for travelling bluesman who would later expand their reputations through recordings.”

The words above are taken at the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale, Mississippi, USA.

The Tin House is a real juke joint just a few miles outside Greenville Mississippi, where they have live blues on most sunday afternoons.
