Following his freshman effort "Fixin' Your Head," Nick Curran returns to Fort Horton studios in Austin, TX, and once again produces a contemporary jump blues masterpiece.
For the skeptical, I like to play the title cut (Nitelife Boogie) against the origial recording. It's a close, authentic cover, true to the original but not a clone. Nick definitely has that early 50's sound down cold. If you like jump blues in the style of T-Bone Walker, Johnny 'Guitar' Watson, Magic Sam, Goree Carter, etc., do yourself a favor and get this CD right away! (http://www.amazon.com)
