Mama's Pride's self-titled debut is a great example of Southern-style rock from the mid-Central states (St. Louis, MO, to be exact). The band could clearly jam as well as the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, and the Outlaws, so why their albums remained in the vaults so long is one of the great mysteries of rock & roll.

However, it's great to have their first two albums, including this one, back in print, as they are must-owns for any true rock fan. (The Footpath Cowboy "rockerusa2002")
