When you talk about Blues drumming you have to talk about Sam Lay, truly a living legend. He has worked with Howlin' Wolf, Lightning Hopkins, Little Walter, John Lee Hooker, Willie Dixon, Otis Rush, Bo Diddley, Jimmy Reed, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Jimmy Rogers, Charlie Musselwhite, Muddy Waters (on the classic "Fathers & Sons" LP) and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band while Butterfield backed Bob Dylan on his first electric gigs. He also played on the Dylan's "Highway 61", although un-credited his shuffle is unmistakable.
