Review by Fred Thomas

Though Norwegian rockers Divin' Ducks hail from the refined environs of Scandinavia, their sound is rooted in the gritty, greasy bar rock of American Southern-fried legends like Lynyrd Skynyrd or ZZ Top and hard rockers like Mötorhead and Deep Purple. Both Ends Burning, originally released in 2000, finds the band powering through on all cylinders, channeling biker rock on "Woman I'm a Lovin'," raw hard rock seduction on "Queen of Sheba," and sentimental balladry somewhere between Elton John and Guns N' Roses on "Theme for an Imaginary Western."
