This is one VERY enjoyable CD, laid-back and oozing with Celtic-tinged blues. The flavor sort of reminds me of some of Richard Thompson's quieter work. There's very little percussion, with guitar, bass, and voice predominating an sonically excellent recording. In addition to the regular credits, there is a separate credit for the engineer who recorded just the bass guitar! Suffice it to say, the bass sounds great, as does the whole recording. But it's the music that really shines, easy-going and soulful. Quality stuff! (amazon.com)
