NASHVILLE FRINGE FESTIVAL PRESENTS THE MANDO BLUES AND SOULSHINE PIZZA BIRTHDAY BASH ON SATURDAY, MARCH 8, 2014

Show location: Soulshine Pizza Factory, 1907 Division St., Nashville, from Noon to Midnight, 11AM Doors.


NASHVILLE, TN — The Nashville Fringe Festival presents the Mando Blues and and Soulshine Pizza Birthday Bash featuring 16 Blues, Roots and Soul acts on two stages at the Soulshine Pizza factory in midtown Nashville, TN. The event will feature 16 Blues, Roots and Blues Rack acts including Charles "Wigg" Walker, Etta Britt (from Delbert McClinton), Kenny Olson (from Kid Rock), Supe and the Sandwiches (from Ozark Mountain Daredevils), Blackfoot Gypsies, Jake Leg Stompers, Skinny Buddha, Lynn Taylor and the Barflies, Amanda Broadway, Amy Hart, Night Owl (Harrison Whitford & Daniel Donato), Kim Logan, John D'Amato, Mississippi Millie, Matt Tedder (IBC Finalist) and Corey Mac.

The show is part of Mando Blues and Fringe Festivals’ ongoing efforts to support all forms of blues and to expose a new generation of blues artists and music to new fans. In this case, the bands on the bill are a of mix traditional blues roots with more modern Blues styles.

Mando Blues is a radio show showcasing the Blues with live guest performances, interviews and deep cuts from every period & sub-genre of the Blues. Recorded at the Omega Lab, a one-of-a-kind 5.1 surround sound studio built on a hill in the woods Pasquo, TN (West Nashville). This is the Four year anniversary of the start of the project. In that time over 200 acts, over 600 musicians, from over 25 states and 6 countries have appeared on the show.

Soulshine Pizza Factory in Nashville is celebrating their 1 year anniversary. A hometown favorite in Oxford and Jackson, Miss., taking over the Hollywood Disco space on Division, near Losers Bar and behind Chuy's. Voted best pizza in Mississippi five years in a row, Soulshine has taken Nashville by storm. Founder Chris Sartin, an avid Allman Brothers fan, named his place after an Allman Brothers song.
